People and companies

Companies holds the organizations you work with, such as advertisers, agencies and media partners. People holds your contacts there. Link each person to their company, so you can see everyone at a company in one place.

If you see companies such as Airbnb or Stripe, they're sample records that came with the new workspace. You can delete them.

Add a company

  1. In the sidebar, click Companies.
  2. Click New Company at the top right.
  3. Type the company's name and press Enter.
  4. Fill in other fields, such as Domain Name for the website, Address and Account Owner.

The new company opens in a panel on the right. Changes save as you go, so there's no save button.

Add a person

  1. In the sidebar, click People.
  2. Click New Person at the top right.
  3. Type the person's first and last name, then press Enter.
  4. Fill in Emails, Phones and Job Title.
  5. Set the Company field to the company they work for.

To link a person in the table, click their Company cell and pick the company from the list. Two people can't have the same email address, and two companies can't have the same domain.

Edit a record

In a table, click a cell, type the new value and press Enter. To see everything about a record, click its name. The record has these tabs:

  • Home: the record's fields and related records. A company shows its People and Opportunities.
  • Timeline: a history of what changed and when.
  • Tasks, Notes and Files: see Tasks, notes and files.
  • Emails and Calendar: these stay empty for now, because email and calendar sync isn't set up yet.

Delete records

  1. In the table, tick the box at the start of each row you want to delete.
  2. Press ⌘ + K on a Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows.
  3. Click Delete People, or Delete Person if you ticked only one.

The CRM doesn't ask you to confirm, but you can bring deleted records back.

Restore deleted records

  1. Open the list, such as People.
  2. Press ⌘ + K on a Mac or Ctrl + K on Windows.
  3. Click See deleted People.
  4. Tick the records you want back.
  5. Click Restore at the top right.
  6. Click Restore People, or Restore Person for one record, to confirm.

To go back to the normal list, open the command menu and click Hide deleted People. By default, the CRM erases deleted records for good after 14 days.
