Tasks

Tasks is the team's task board, where we plan work and keep track of it. It runs on Planka, a board app where work moves across columns as it gets done. We use Planka version 2.2.1.

Open it in your web browser at tasks.jacksonblank.com.

You need an account to sign in. There's no sign-up page: your admin creates your account and tells you how to sign in. See Sign in and manage your account.

The main ideas​

  • Projects are the top level, for example one per client or area of work. The home page shows the projects you can see.
  • Boards live inside a project. They appear as tabs along the top of the project, and each board has its own members.
  • Lists are the columns on a board, for example To do, Doing and Done.
  • Cards are the pieces of work. Each card sits in one list, and you drag it to the next list as the work moves along. Open a card to add details, tasks, files and comments.

Changes appear for everyone straight away, so you don't need to reload the page.

Planka on this server doesn't send email. You see notifications inside the board only. Banners and menu links about PLANKA Pro advertise a paid edition, and the features they mention aren't part of our board.
