Install Today and sign in

You can use Today in a web browser, or install it so it opens in its own window like any other app. On iPhone, install it: notifications only work in the app on your Home Screen.

iPhone​

Add it from Safari. On iPhone, notifications only work in the app on your Home Screen, not in a browser tab, and they need iOS 16.4 or later.

  1. Open Safari and go to today.jacksonblank.com.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen. You may need to scroll down to find it.
  4. If you see an Open as Web App switch, leave it on.
  5. Tap Add.
  6. Open Today from your Home Screen.
  7. Sign in once. Today remembers you after that.

Mac and Windows​

Use Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

  1. Open today.jacksonblank.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar.
  4. Click Install.

If you don't see the install icon, open the browser's menu and look for the option to install the page as an app.

Today now opens in its own window. To keep it handy, keep it in the Dock on a Mac, or pin it to the taskbar on Windows.

On a Mac, you can also use Safari: choose File → Add to Dock.

To check that it worked, open the installed app and go to Settings. Under Use it like an app, it says “You’re using the installed app on this device.”

Installed or not, Today needs an internet connection. If you open it without one, you'll see “You’re offline”. See Troubleshooting.

Sign in​

  1. Open Today.
  2. Enter your Email.
  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Select Sign in.

If you see “That email and password don't match.”, check both and try again.

You can't sign in with Google. Google is only used to connect your calendar.

Stay signed in​

You stay signed in, even after you close Today. Each browser you use needs its own sign-in, and so does the app on your iPhone Home Screen. If you don't use Today on a device for a few months, it asks you to sign in again.

When you change your password, Today signs you out on your other devices. To change your password or sign out, see Settings and your account.

Forgot your password?​

There's no “forgot password” link. Ask your admin to reset your password, then sign in with the new one.
