My Day and your Top 3

My Day is the first page you see when you open Today. On iPhone, it's the Today tab.

At the top you see a greeting and today's date. On a computer, a ring next to the title shows how much of today you've finished.

Overdue

If any tasks are past their date, a box at the top says how many, for example 2 overdue.

  • Select Move all to today to give them all today's date.
  • Select the heading to show or hide the list. It starts closed when there are more than three.

Top 3

The Top 3 box holds up to three tasks that matter most today. To add one:

  • Select Pick up to three things that matter most today (or Add another priority). Quick add opens for a new task that's due today and already in your Top 3.
  • On a computer, hover over any task and click ☆.
  • Open any task and select the Top 3 chip.

A task in your Top 3 shows a small star in your other lists. To take it out, click ☆ again, or open the task and select In Top 3.

If you try to add a fourth, you'll see “Your Top 3 is full. Remove one first.”

Your Top 3 is for today only. Tomorrow it starts empty, and you pick again. The tasks themselves keep their dates and projects.

Schedule

If you've connected Google Calendar, a Schedule box lists today's events. Events that are over fade out. Select an event's name to open it in Google Calendar. See Google Calendar.

Today

The Today list has everything else that's due today.

  • Select Add to add a task for today. Any task you add while you're on My Day is due today, unless you type another date.
  • To change the order, drag a task by the handle on its left. On a computer, the handle appears when you hover.
  • Select Move unfinished to tomorrow to move the open tasks in this list to tomorrow. Your Top 3 and overdue tasks stay where they are.

When nothing is due today, you'll see “A clear day”.

Done today and Tomorrow

Done today collects the tasks you finished today. Tomorrow shows what's due next. Select either heading to open or close it.

To check off, move or delete a task, see Check off, reschedule or delete.
