Check off, reschedule or delete

Check off a task

Select the circle next to a task. A message appears with Undo, in case you didn't mean it. On iPhone, you can also swipe a task to the right.

Finished tasks move to Completed. To bring one back, uncheck its circle there. If the task repeats, the next one is scheduled when you check it off. See Repeating tasks.

Move a task to another day

On a computer:

  1. Hover over the task.
  2. Click the calendar icon that appears on the right.
  3. Choose Today, Tomorrow, This weekend or Next week. To pick any day, choose Pick a date…. To take the date off, choose Remove date.

On iPhone:

  1. Swipe the task to the left.
  2. Tap Today, Tomorrow, This weekend or Next week, or tap Pick a date… or Remove date.

A message confirms the move, like “Moved to Tomorrow”, with Undo.

The task keeps its time, and it goes to the end of that day's list. Its reminder moves with it.

Other ways to move tasks:

  • Open the task and change its date.
  • In the Calendar on a computer, drag a task onto another day.
  • In My Day, Move all to today moves your overdue tasks, and Move unfinished to tomorrow moves today's open tasks.

More actions on a computer

Hover over a task to see three buttons:

  • ☆ adds the task to your Top 3, or takes it out.
  • The calendar icon moves the task to another day.
  • ⋯ opens a menu with Priority and Delete.

Delete a task

On a computer:

  1. Hover over the task.
  2. Click ⋯.
  3. Click Delete.

On iPhone, or on a computer:

  1. Open the task.
  2. Select Delete at the bottom.

A message appears with Undo. Today has no trash, so select Undo right away if you deleted the wrong task. Deleted tasks don't show in Completed.

Change the order

In My Day, the Inbox and projects, drag a task by the handle on its left to put it where you want. On a computer, the handle appears when you hover.
