Inbox, Upcoming, Calendar and Completed

Inbox

The Inbox holds every open task that doesn't have a project. A task lands here when you add it without one.

To sort a task, open it and give it a project and a date. On iPhone, you can also swipe a task left to give it a date.

Drag tasks by their handle to put them in your own order. When the Inbox is empty, you'll see “Inbox zero”.

Upcoming

Upcoming shows open tasks with a date after today, starting with tomorrow.

  • The next two weeks are grouped by day.
  • Later tasks are grouped by month.
  • It looks about four months ahead.

Select + next to a day to add a task for that day. Select Calendar at the top to switch to the month view.

Calendar

The Calendar shows a whole month. On iPhone, open it from the Calendar button at the top of Upcoming, or from the Projects tab.

  • Use the arrows at the top to go to the previous or next month. Today brings you back to this month.
  • Select a day to list its tasks under the calendar. Select Add there to add a task for that day.
  • On a computer, each day shows its first few items. “+2 more” means there are more: select the day to see them all.
  • On iPhone, each day shows dots: filled dots are tasks, and rings are calendar events.
  • On a computer, drag a task onto another day to move it.

The Calendar shows finished tasks too. They're crossed out, and you can't drag them.

The week starts on the day you pick in Settings → General → Week starts on.

If you've connected Google Calendar, your events show here as well. You can't move events from Today. See Google Calendar.

Completed

Completed lists the tasks you finished most recently, newest first, grouped by the day you finished them. It shows up to 200 tasks.

To bring a task back, uncheck its circle. It returns to its list with its date and project.

On iPhone, find Completed at the top of the Projects tab.
