Settings and your account

On a computer, Settings is at the bottom of the sidebar. On iPhone, tap the gear at the top of My Day, or open the Projects tab and tap Settings.

Select Help at the top of Settings to open this help center.

Some settings have their own articles: notifications, Google Calendar, Siri, projects and installing the app. This article covers the rest.

General

  • Time zone decides what “today” means, which tasks are overdue, and when reminders go off. Set it to where you live. Today uses this time zone on every device, even when you travel.
  • Week starts on is Sunday or Monday. It sets the first day of the week in the Calendar and the date pickers.
  • Default reminder time is used when you say “remind me” with a date but no time. Reminders on tasks without a time count from it, and snoozing until Tomorrow uses it too.
  • Appearance is Dark, Light or System, which follows your device. Dark is the default. Your choice applies on all your devices.

Your data

You can download everything at any time:

  • Everything (JSON) saves your settings, projects and tasks, with their subtasks and reminders, in one file.
  • Tasks (CSV for spreadsheets) saves one row per task, for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Both files include finished tasks. Deleted tasks aren't included.

Change your password

  1. Under Account, type your Current password.
  2. Type a New password. Use at least 12 characters.
  3. Select Change password.

You'll see “Password changed. Other devices were signed out.” Sign in again on your other devices with the new password.

If you see “Your current password isn't right.”, try typing it again. If you've forgotten it, ask your admin to reset it.

Sign out

  • Sign out signs you out on the device you're using.
  • Sign out other devices signs you out everywhere else, and keeps you signed in here. Use it if you lose a phone or sign in on a computer that isn't yours.
